About Us

Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2009. The Institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University.

The idea of forming an association of past SOCETians stemmed from the desire for fellowship and the pull of an emotional bond with the Institute where students of Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering spending the decisive years of their life.
It was at the SOCET, that the SOCETians were molded to take on the challenge of the real world that awaited till now. SOCET has contributed a lot in shaping lives both at the personal and professional levels.
It was the sentiments that led to the foundation of the SOCETAA (Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology Alumni Association) on 25th May 2013.
Shri. Janak Khandwala is the founder president of the Association.
On the day of the launch the management has provided each passing out students with letter of Inheritance, class photo, CD containing contact details of all batches. The gathering was followed by dinner and Musical party hosted by the management.

Objectives

.To develop and strengthen a feeling of fraternity amongst its members and the Alumni / present students of the SOCET.
To inculcate the values of the Alumni and their responsibility towards the society.
To act as a channel of communication for information related to the members’ general interest.
To form a link between its members, SOCET, fresh graduates of SOCET Alumni / Present students of SOCET and other various representatives of Industries, Associations etc.
To carry out research, or undertake non-commercial projects in order to enrich the knowledge of its members, and Alumni / present students of SOCET and to contribute to those socially relevant problem areas which need a non-commercial approach.
To organize short duration courses of continuous education in various disciplines for the alumni / present students of the college.
To organize talks, workshops, seminars, group discussions etc. on topics of interest.
To set up and maintain an infrastructure for the betterment of the college / its Alumni / its present students / libraries / information/ services / placement cells.
